Stop tracking mandatory training on a spreadsheet. Claromentis LMS is compliance training software that shows who has completed each course, and when, with the dated record ready when someone asks. Techspire IT sets it up around how your organisation trains.
Or see how it handles one mandatory course first.

When training records live in spreadsheets, email reminders and separate course platforms, it gets harder to see who has completed what. Someone has to chase outstanding courses and find the evidence when a manager or an auditor asks.
A familiar example. An audit arrives and someone opens a spreadsheet. Half the entries are blank, two are wrong, and nobody’s sure whether Sarah in accounts did her annual data protection refresher. The training may well have happened. What’s missing is a record that says so.

| HR emails every manager each quarter to ask who has done what. | Open the course to see who has enrolled, who has completed it and when. |
| Reminders go out when somebody remembers to send them. | Set a number of days on a module, and anyone part-way through it gets a daily reminder until they finish. You can also remind everyone who has the course. |
| Seeing who hasn't started means filtering by hand. | One report shows who has not started or not completed a course, by group or role. |
| Audit prep is a scramble through email, spreadsheets and shared drives. | When an auditor or regulator asks, you export every training record, or one person's, to a CSV. |
You may not need this yet. With a handful of staff and one or two certificates to track, a spreadsheet and a calendar reminder will do. Compliance training software earns its place when roles multiply and refreshers fall on different cycles. That’s when the chasing lands on one person. Not sure which side of that line you’re on? We’ve written a short honest test, as well as a guide to keeping staff training records.
Compliance training software gives each person the mandatory courses for their role and reminds them to finish. It keeps a dated record you can show an auditor. Claromentis LMS is a compliance LMS (learning management system) inside your intranet, beside your policies, documents and people directory. Techspire IT, an Authorised Claromentis Partner, sets it up for you, wherever you are.
Compliance training is training your people must complete because a law, a regulator, an insurer or your own policy requires it. Which training that is depends on your industry, where you operate and your own policies.
The LMS sits on top of the Claromentis Intranet licence, so you can’t buy it on its own. That means you get the intranet too, with more than 30 applications, including Policy Manager with dated acceptance records, Documents, the people directory, News and the Knowledge Base. You can add Business Process Automation the same way, so a process such as new starter onboarding runs beside the training.

Your quote can include the Business Process Automation and Learning Management System add-ons. It depends on scope: migrating data from an existing system, connecting other systems, and how many workflows and courses you need all move it, so we quote on your requirements.
We agree a fixed scope and price in writing before any work starts. Year one covers the first year’s Claromentis licence, our fixed-scope work to get you live and the cloud installation fee. The licence runs for a year, payable monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly, and we quote in your currency.
One example, start to finish: a fire safety course for a warehouse team. We made up the course and the team, but every step is how Claromentis works.
Give the course to the people who need it. Choose the people, roles or groups, then mark it mandatory so nobody can drop it once they've enrolled. For an induction, chain courses into a learning path so every new starter follows the same ones.
Follow up on who hasn't finished. Set a number of days on a module. Once those days pass, anyone part-way through it gets a reminder every day until they finish. For people who haven't started, send one reminder to everyone who has the course. A learning path can carry a deadline in days: anyone still behind after the days you set gets a daily reminder.
See who finished, and when. A SCORM module or a quiz completes when the learner finishes or passes it. For an uploaded file, a link or an embed, the learner ticks a box instead. When every module is complete, Claromentis generates a certificate and adds the date to their training record.
Show it when asked. Open the course to see who has enrolled and who has completed it, with the dates. Run the Course Activity Report to see who hasn't started, and download a CSV for your auditor or regulator. A custom report can also arrive by email as a CSV, on a schedule you set.
Give the course and each of its modules the same validity period, for example 12 months. When it ends, each completion goes back to enrolled and the person gets a notice, so the refresher comes round without a diary. You set the period to match your own training policy; Claromentis doesn't decide it.
Sample data. The certificate and the record entry are settings, so check both are on. What you can use depends on the modules and settings in your own environment.
Publish. Remind. Record. Evidence.
When someone asks whether a person finished a course, you need the answer without rebuilding it from different places. Each person has a training record on their profile in the people directory. Content you mark as a training record adds a dated entry when they complete it.
You can import your history by CSV, from an old LMS or a spreadsheet, and give managers access to their direct reports’ records. Authorised users can download any record as a CSV.
If you run a care service, a clinic or a hospital group, someone will ask who did which training, and when.
Both come back to the same thing: a record of who completed what, by name and date.
No software makes a provider compliant. The LMS holds the courses and the record, but deciding what your people need stays with you.
Our founder ran Claromentis for seven years for a healthcare group with more than 850 users in more than 20 countries. Staff training ran in the same Claromentis portal as the intranet.
“Nobody chased a training record. Nobody scrambled before an audit. It just worked.”

Compliance training software is only part of the solution. A good set-up means your courses are organised, the right people have access and everyone knows where to go.
Harsh DivechaFounder, Techspire ITHarsh Divecha, who founded Techspire IT, ran Claromentis for seven years for a healthcare group operating across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the US, Canada and Australia. Claromentis’s own announcement of the partnership names his Department-First approach. What carries over to your project is knowing how to get people using a platform, department by department.
Nobody wants to be the person who picked the wrong compliance training software. So here’s what to check before there’s a contract.
Claromentis runs SCORM 1.2 courses. Check which format yours use. If they are SCORM 2004 or xAPI, ask us first.
Check how you see who has finished, and when, and what you can export. The Course Activity Report, each person’s training record and a custom report all download as a CSV.
Yes, before any contract, in a 30 day playground. The next section says what it holds.
One named person looks after you from the first call to go-live. Ask who configures the system, trains your administrators and helps with your first courses.
Claromentis’s security page says customer data is permanently deleted 30 days after a contract ends. The terms are in its customer agreement. Claromentis holds ISO 27001:2022 (certificate 227467), and its security page describes an external audit every year. You also choose where your intranet is hosted, from the locations in Claromentis’s privacy policy. One limit: once AI is switched on, its processing runs in the EU for UK and EU customers and in the US for US-hosted customers.
From the day it opens you can add your own content, switch on the AI and get answers from it. The AI answers from the documents, policies and pages you add. It does not read course content. Add one of your own SCORM 1.2 courses and take it as a learner.
It’s a place to try the product. Your real users, integrations and settings come with your implementation.

The playground comes first and runs for 30 days from the day it opens, though you can decide sooner. After that, a standard Claromentis implementation takes 6 to 8 weeks from agreed scope to go-live. Count back from your audit date to see when to start.
No rule tells you to buy compliance training software. The rules ask for training and, when it counts, a record of it.
Short answers for HR, compliance and IT.
No single LMS is best for everyone. Judge any compliance training software, compliance training platform or LMS for employee training on five things. Can it give each role its own mandatory courses? Does it remind people without you? Does every completion carry a date? Can you export the record? And will it run the courses you already own? Claromentis LMS fits when you also want policies and an intranet in the same place. It fits less well if you need a ready-made course catalogue. For named platforms side by side, see our seven-platform comparison.
No LMS is easy for everyone, so test any compliance training software on three things. Can learners find their courses without a second sign-in? Does an administrator see who has finished without building a report first? Can your team set up a course without a developer? Claromentis keeps courses in the same intranet staff use for news and documents, and we set up your first courses with you. So ask to see all three on a live demo.
Compliance training software, also sold as a compliance training platform, is an LMS for compliance training: a learning management system for the training people must complete. It gives each role its mandatory courses, reminds people to finish and dates every completion. It also brings a course round again when its validity ends. A general LMS can hold any kind of learning. With a compliance LMS, what matters most is the record, because an auditor wants to see who completed what, and when.
Microsoft 365 has a learning hub, Viva Learning, rather than an LMS of its own. Microsoft’s own FAQ says Viva Learning gathers learning content from other systems, such as an LMS, into a single hub in Teams and across Microsoft 365. Its documentation says the connected LMS stays the source of courses and learner records, and connecting one needs a paid Viva licence. So Viva Learning shows people their training, while an LMS runs it and keeps the record. We read Microsoft’s pages on 10 October 2026. For the wider question, see whether you need an intranet with Microsoft 365.
You can keep the record that way, and for a small team that may be enough. The Health and Safety Executive’s training leaflet says keeping records can help you manage training. In our view, the work is everything around the record. On a spreadsheet, someone still hands out the course, reminds each person and dates each completion by hand. In Microsoft 365, Viva Learning can show documents, audio, video and links from SharePoint. However, Microsoft’s documentation lists no quiz or SCORM option for that content.
SCORM is a common packaging standard for e-learning, so a course built in one tool can run in another system. A SCORM compliant LMS opens a SCORM package and records what it reports. Claromentis runs SCORM 1.2 packages, and tracks completion and scores when the package reports them. Its LMS page and documentation name SCORM 1.2 only, and we found no mention of xAPI or cmi5 there. If your courses use SCORM 2004 or xAPI, ask us first.
A training matrix lists each person against each course, with the date they finished it and when it is due again. However, we found no view in Claromentis that draws that grid. The nearest thing is one report that lists who has not started or not completed a course, by group or role. Download it as a CSV, or build your own report. Each person’s full training record also sits on their profile. If a matrix is the view you rely on, ask to see the reports on a live demo first.
We quote a fixed price for your scope, in writing, before any work starts. That covers the first year’s licence, our fixed-scope work to get you live and the cloud installation fee. Your quote can include the Business Process Automation and Learning Management System add-ons. It depends on scope: migrating data from an existing system, connecting other systems, and how many workflows and courses you need all move it, so we quote on your requirements. We can only quote for the one we set up. The LMS sits on top of the Claromentis Intranet licence, so you can’t buy it on its own.
You set a number of days on a module. When those days pass, the LMS sends a compliance reminder every day to anyone who has started the module and not finished it. For people who haven’t started, you send one reminder to everyone who has the course instead. Claromentis generates a certificate when someone completes a course. For renewals, you give the course and each of its modules the same validity period, and when it ends the completion resets and the person gets a notice. The audit trail starts on the course itself, which lists who has enrolled and who has completed it, with the dates. Every training record also exports to CSV.
