Questions about AI agents for business
What is an AI agent?
An AI agent in Claromentis is an assistant with one defined job. An administrator gives it instructions and the skills it may use, chooses who can use it, tests it and switches it on. Your people then pick it in the AI Assistant panel and ask it questions in plain words.
How is an AI agent different from a chatbot?
A chatbot answers whatever it’s asked. In Claromentis an agent has one job written into its instructions, only the skills you choose, an owner and a list of who may use it.
What can Claromentis AI agents do?
They answer your people’s questions from the intranet, read a form’s requests, and draw charts and pictures. What each one does depends on the skills you give it. In our demo portal, agents say which purchase requests are waiting, how the intranet is used, and draw pictures for news posts.
Can an agent approve requests or change records?
In our demo portal, the Purchase Requests agent cannot approve, reject, change or create a request. It declined when asked to approve one, and the request remained unchanged. Approvals stay with the people defined by the process.
Who controls who can use an agent?
An administrator, agent by agent, by group or role. People only see the agents they’ve been given.
What information does an agent use?
Only what its skills can reach in your intranet, such as documents, knowledge base articles, pages and one form’s requests. It can’t put right content that’s wrong or out of date, so before any agent is switched on we review your permissions and content with you.
Can we build our own custom AI agents?
Yes. An administrator builds each one from a name, instructions, skills and who may use it, then tests it and switches it on. We build the first one with you.
Are AI agents included in the Claromentis licence?
AI agents for business come with your Claromentis intranet licence. They aren’t a separate licence. Claromentis announced on 12 October 2026 that AI agents are available on Enablement Hub, its intranet, learning and process automation product.
How is our data handled?
Every AI feature stays off until an administrator switches it on.
