Stop wasting time searching folders, PDFs and old policies. Give every employee AI answers from your own intranet, with the source linked under each one.

Plain terms
Can your employees ask questions about your own information, and get answers they can trust?
That’s the job enterprise RAG does. Three things make it work:
Someone asks: How do I book annual leave?
It looks in your intranet first
Policies, news, documents, pages and Knowledge Base articles. Only in what the person asking can open, in search and overviews.
It writes the answer from what it found
The steps to follow, the notice you need and the carry-over rules, from your own leave policy.
It links the sources under the answer
Retrieval augmented generation, RAG for short, is AI that looks up your organisation’s own content first, writes its answer from what it found and attaches the source. In Claromentis 11 it is already there, as three parts.
“Enterprise RAG” is our name for it; those are Claromentis’s names for the parts. For the longer version, read how AI on an intranet works, in detail.
What it costs
Typically £8,000 to £25,000 in year one for 30 to 100 users, depending on scope.
Updated
Most of what your people need to know is already written down somewhere.
Finding it is the expensive part.
2.8hours each week
Knowledge workers estimate they spend 2.8 hours each week looking for or requesting the information they need, according to an APQC survey of 982 full-time knowledge workers (2021).
You pay for it twice:
The AI answers from what’s on your intranet. Getting the right content there, current and owned, is part of how we set it up.
Two ordinary questions: how to book annual leave, and whether a chicken wrap contains nuts. Both answers are written from the organisation’s own content, with the source one click away.
Chapters: Ask, Answer, Source, A harder question, In the licence
Recorded in our own Claromentis 11 playground in September 2026, on demo content. The waits between question and answer are shortened in the film.
Five outcomes, in the order your people meet them.
People ask in their own words, in the search bar or in the AI Assistant's chat panel on any page. AI Search understands what they mean, not only the words they typed.
They get a plain answer written from your own policies, documents, pages and Knowledge Base articles, above the search results or in the chat. They can also ask questions of a single policy in a chat beside it.
Every answer links the content it came from, so anyone can open the source and see how current it is before they act on it.
Search results and AI overviews only show each person what they're allowed to open, using the permissions your intranet already has. We review those permissions before any AI is switched on.
Your intranet's search logs the searches that find nothing, beside the most searched terms, for your administrators to review, so you can see what people look for and can't find, and write it.
We don’t put a number on the hours this saves. It depends on your content and your people, and the playground lets you judge it on your own questions.
The AI comes with the Intranet licence on Claromentis’s cloud, among more than 30 applications. There’s no separate AI product to buy.

Different tools solve different problems. Here’s where enterprise knowledge inside your intranet fits.
None of them fixes oversharing for you. Each takes its permissions from somewhere, and the table’s last row says where.

Apart from its own help centre for how-to questions, its AI doesn’t answer from systems outside the intranet. If your knowledge has to stay in other systems, another column may suit you better. If it can move, bringing it onto the intranet is part of how we set it up.
ChatGPT, Glean and Microsoft details are from their own sites, read on 9 October 2026.
The AI is part of the Intranet licence, so the question is what the intranet costs. It depends on scope, so we quote on your requirements.
Typically
£8,000 to £25,000
In year one, for 30 to 100 users.
That range is the usual year one, not the price of your project. Six things move that:

Who sets up enterprise RAG matters as much as what you buy. Here’s what you get when it’s us.
Harsh Divecha, who founded Techspire IT, ran Claromentis for seven years for a healthcare group operating across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the US, Canada and Australia. His Department-First approach is named in Claromentis’s own announcement of the partnership. That deployment was on a version of Claromentis without AI; what carries over is how to get an intranet used, department by department.
How we take enterprise RAG from the first call to the day your people start asking it questions, and after.
Discover to Launch takes 6 to 8 weeks, delivered remotely.
Improve carries on after go-live.
We understand your content, users and knowledge problems: what people ask, who they ask, and where the answers live today.
We set up Claromentis around how you work: departments, permissions and the content the AI answers from, and we review who can open what before any AI is switched on.
We test permissions, answers and source accuracy: we sign in as people with different access, ask real questions and check each answer against its source.
Your administrators and your people are trained by video call and screen share, and the system goes live.
We use real questions, including the searches that found nothing, to find the gaps in your content, help you fill them and get more people using it.
Go-live isn’t where our work with you ends. It’s where it starts.

Short answers for IT, compliance and finance.
Your data isn’t used to train or fine-tune an AI model without your permission. What your people type and what the AI returns are treated as your data. Your intranet is hosted on Claromentis’s cloud, and you choose where it lives from the hosting locations in Claromentis’s privacy and cookie policy. One limit: once AI is switched on, its processing runs in the EU for UK and EU customers and in the US for US-hosted customers. Claromentis’s data processing addendum says so. Claromentis holds ISO 27001:2022 (certificate 227467), and its security page sets out that it’s audited externally every year. If you leave, Claromentis deletes your data within 30 days of the day the contract ends, as its customer agreement sets out.
Claromentis states that AI search and overviews work within the intranet’s permissions, so content a person cannot view does not appear in their AI results. The honest caveat is that it follows the permissions you have set. If a folder is open to everyone today, the AI will find it, so we review permissions before the AI is switched on. The AI exposes oversharing that already exists. It does not create it.
No. It answers from your own data. Enterprise RAG is retrieval augmented generation, RAG for short: AI that looks up your organisation’s own content first and writes its answer from what it found, with the source attached. It draws on what’s already on your intranet: policies, news, documents, pages and Knowledge Base articles. For questions about using Claromentis itself, the Assistant can also draw on Claromentis’s own help centre. Beyond that help centre, it doesn’t answer from systems outside the intranet.
Yes, in three ways. Apart from Claromentis’s own help centre for how-to questions, it answers only from what’s on your intranet, so you decide what it can draw on. In search and AI overviews, it follows the intranet’s permissions, so each person only gets results from what they’re allowed to open. And an administrator controls the AI itself: every AI feature is off until it is switched on, each has its own switch, so you can start with AI Search and add the Assistant when you’re ready, and any of them can be switched off again at any time. AI use is recorded in the audit log, so when an auditor or your own policy asks how the AI is used, there’s a record to show.
Yes, on Claromentis 11. Enterprise RAG answers from what’s already on your intranet: policies, news, documents, pages and Knowledge Base articles, so there’s nothing to copy into a separate AI tool. How well it answers depends on that content being current, which is part of how we set it up. The AI features come with Claromentis 11, the AI Assistant from version 11.1, so if you’re on an older version, the upgrade comes first, and we can plan it with you.
Yes. A 30 day playground reaches you within 24 hours of asking, with no card to enter and nothing to cancel. If you need longer, we’ll ask Claromentis for an extension.
Plan on 6 to 8 weeks from the start to live, set up remotely, with training. The five steps are above, from Discover to Launch, and Improve carries on after go-live. Support hours and response times are set out in your contract.
No separate AI product is needed: AI Search, AI Overview and the AI Assistant come with the Claromentis Intranet licence. Year one is typically £8,000 to £25,000 for 30 to 100 users. We quote everything beyond the licence on your requirements, after a call, as a fixed scope and a fixed price for getting you live: the one-off cloud installation, our own setup, training and support, and any migration, connections to other systems, workflows or courses. See what moves the price.
As far as the content behind it. Enterprise RAG answers from what’s on your intranet, so an old article gives an old answer, and gives it confidently. That’s why every answer lists its sources: anyone can open one and see how current it is. In our playground, one answer drew on an article last edited in 2021, and its link showed it. In our tests it also said when it couldn’t reach something: asked how many tickets were unassigned, it said it had no access to the ticket queues. Claromentis’s AI settings warn that generated content can contain errors. We agree, and we say so. The fix starts before the AI: articles with a named owner and a review routine, which we help you set up.
The enterprise RAG label may change. The need doesn’t: your people need answers from your own information, with the source to check, inside the permissions you’ve set. Judge any tool on those three, whatever it’s called. In the playground, you can ask your own questions and see where each answer comes from.
